Which ticket site is cheapest? We compared 4,875 events

For the 4,875 upcoming events where at least two of our partner marketplaces quoted a fees-included price, HelloTickets had the lowest price on 71% of the events it priced, TicketNetwork on 26% and Ticket Squeeze on 12%. No site wins every event, which is why we compare them on every event page.

Which marketplace is cheapest most often?

HelloTickets was the single cheapest on 71% of the events it priced; when it wasn’t, it was a median 11% above the cheapest. TicketNetwork was the single cheapest on 26% of the events it priced; when it wasn’t, it was a median 25% above the cheapest. Ticket Squeeze was the single cheapest on 12% of the events it priced; when it wasn’t, it was a median 17% above the cheapest.

Why do the same tickets cost different amounts?

Sellers list independently on each marketplace, and each marketplace adds its own fees. We only compare prices with fees included, so a low sticker price that grows at checkout never wins here. StubHub, Vivid Seats, SeatGeek and Ticketmaster are not in this comparison: they do not share their prices with us, and we only publish prices we have actually seen.

How we measure this

What we compare. For each upcoming event, the cheapest ticket each partner marketplace lists, read twice a day, counting only prices that include fees. An event enters the comparison when at least two marketplaces quoted one. HelloTickets prices are its US storefront’s; visitors elsewhere can be quoted a different price.
